Title: Ulrich bundles on double planes
Abstract: Ulrich bundles are vector bundles on a smooth projective variety
whose twists satisfy a set of vanishing conditions. It has been
conjectured that every smooth projective variety carries an Ulrich bundle.
The answer to this is not known in general but is known in the case of
certain projective varieties. In this talk, I will give an introduction to
Ulrich bundles. I will also discuss the existence of Ulrich line bundles
over double covers of the projective plane. This is based on joint work
with A.J. Parameswaran.
