* The Makeup Midsemester Examination (9.30--11.30am) and Makeup Common Quiz (11.30-12.00): on 9th November'02 in the Ramanujam Hall, Department of Mathematics.
* There will be one question paper for the makeup Common quiz which includes portion before midsem as well as portion after the midsem upto tutsheet no. 9. There is no makeup surprise quiz.

* PORTION for the Endsem Examination: 15-20% weightage (that is 6 to 8 marks out of 40 marks) before midsem (no proofs of the theorems before midsem)
Remaining weightage from the after midsem portion starting from the system of ODEs by Laplace transforms as well as Dirac Delta function.**********************************************
* Extra Class for Division-III on Monday, 14th October'02 from 2.00 to 3.00 pm in Room Number IC-I
* Extra Class for Division-IV on Wednesday, 16th October'02 from 11.35 am to 12.30 pm in Room Number IC-I

* Collection of Suprise Quiz Papers: Pl. meet your associate (taking your tutorial class) on 17th September Tuesday at 4.40pm. The associates are requested to be available in their ofice rooms in the Department of Mathematics from 4.40pm --5.10pm. If you have any problem in finding the room, pl. contact our department office.
* Contents for the Midsem: up to and including Lapalce transforms ( you may exclude Laplace transform for the Dirac delta function and the Laplace transform for solving the system of DEs that is section 5.7)

* Extra Class for Division-III on Monday, 19th August'02 from 2.00 to 3.00 pm in Room Number IC-I
* Self Reading: Please go through the Handout-I (Operator Methods) and workout some problems using these methods. Hints can be provided by the associates for a couple of problems in the tutorial class to be held on 26 and 27th August'02.
* The first Common Quiz is on 28th August'02 at 6pm in the Convocation Hall. Pl. take your seats 10 minutes before the start of the quiz. We are planning to put the seating arrangements outside of the convocation Hall.
The first Common Quiz is of 40 minutes duration in stead of 30 minutes.
* The portion for the first Common quiz: upto and including higher order differential equations including Operator Methods.
