TUTORIALS
There will be no tutorial classes in the first week of instruction.
Roughly, we get 14 weeks ( 7 before the midsem and 7 after midsem ) for conducting tutorial classes excluding first week and midsem week.
29th July - 2rd August , 5th - 9th August, 12th - 16th August, 19th - 23th August, 26th - 30 August, 2nd Sept., - 6th Sept., 9th - 13th Sept, (Midsem Exam Week--16th to 20th September), 23th - 27 Sept., 30th Sept. - 4th Oct., 7th - 11 Oct., 14th - 18th Oct. (15th Oct. being a holiday, Div-III & IV will miss a tutorial), 21st - 25th Oct., 28th - Oct., - 1st Nov., 4th - 8th Nov. (Diwali on 4th -5th--no tutorials this week), 11th - 15th Nov.,
Two types of problems ( I - for Instructors to be worked out in the first hour of the tutorial class ), T- for associates ( hints could be given sothat the students can workout in the tutorial class. Sometimes some problems may even be worked out ) we should mark on the tutorial sheet and should announce in the tutorial class for the next week tutorials. However, it is advisable to browse through the home page for those two types of problems.
Since the I - types of problems will be done by the Instructors in the first hour, it is expected that the course associates should provide hints for the T - problems and go around to check that the students are really working those in the tutorial class. For greater involvement of the students in the 2nd hour of the tutorials, the associates may call one or two students to the black board and help them to workout the problems in the board.
* 2 marks are kept on the discretion of associates which can be given based on the performance of the students in the tutorial class.

* Two common Quizzes weightage 10% each ( of thirty minutes duration )
* Two surprise Qizzes ( one before midsem and other after midsem ) weightage 4% each (not 5%)
