Hi there, I am Priyabrata Mandal, a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Bombay. My broad area of research is Algebra. I've always been passionate about mathematics. I have completed my PhD from IIT Bombay. During my post-graduation times at IIT Kanpur, I've been pursuing my dream of becoming a researcher so I can really work in an area I know significantly about. Apart from this, I am a good learner and want to learn new things. In my list of hobbies, there are singing, photography, travelling and many more. One should explore themself so that one can redefine themself.

About my research

Currently, I am working with Prof. Preeti Raman.

My broad area of research is Algebra. More precisely, I study quadratic and hermitian forms over central simple algebras with involutions. In my PhD thesis, I study the behaviour of central simple algebras with involutions over totally positive extensions.
