Title: Introduction to Chevally Groups

Abstract: In these lectures we will define Chevalley groups of adjoint type following the book of Carter titled 'Simple groups of Lie type'. We will discuss a bit about structure theory. The lectures will assume familiarity with Lie algebras and root systems.
