Title: Hilbert functions of multigraded modules - II

Abstract: Multigraded modules arise in many constructions in commutative algebra, algebraic geometry and combinatorics. The main examples being Hilbert functions of a family of ideals, simultaneous blowing up for resolution of singularities, lattice points in polytopes, Milnor numbers of of hypersurface singularities counting solutions of polynomial equations and face vectors of simplicial complexes name a few. In this series of lectures, we will prove basic facts about these functions and discuss some applications.
