**Title:**Boij-Soederberg Theory for Free Resolutions.

**Abstract:**M. Boij and J.Soederberg conjectured that the Betti tables
of finitely generated graded Cohen-Macaulay modules over polynomial
rings are positiverational combinations of the the Betti tables of finitely generated graded
Cohen-Macaulay modules with pure resolution. They also conjectured that
Cohen-Macaulay modules with pure resolution exist. This was proved by
D. Eisenbud, G. Floystad, J. Weyman and F.-O. Schreyer. We will look at
these conjectures and their proofs, and recent extensions to arbitrary
regular local rings and hypersurface rings.
