Title: Cowsik-Nori theorem on curves

Speaker: Manoj Keshari, IIT Bombay

Abstract: We will see a proof of the Cowsik-Nori theorem, which states that if $k$ is a field of positive characteristic, and $I$ is a prime ideal of $k[X_1,\ldots,X_n]$ of height $n-1$, then up to radical, $I$ is generated by $n-1$ elements.
