Title: Explicit Langlands parameter for epipelagic representation
Speaker: Shiv Prakash Patel, IIT Bombay
Abstract: Let $ F$ be a non-Archimedian local field. For every irreducible admissible representation $ \pi$ of $ GL_n(F)$, the local Langlands correspondence prescribes an n-dimensional complex representation $\sigma$ of the Weil-Deligne group which satisfies certain properties, called Langlands parameter of $ \pi$. An irreducible supercuspidal representation of $ GL_n(F)$ is epipelagic if its Swan conductor equals 1. In this series of two lectures, we discuss an "explicit" description of Langlands parameter for an epipelagic representation of $GL_n(F)$ due to Bushnell and Henniart (2014).
