Abstract: In the past decade K-theory has pervaded several areas of mathematics such as for instance number theory, operator algebras, algebraic topology and algebraic geometry. The purpose of the seminar is to bring together research scholars working in diverse areas on a common platform and to expose them some of the aspects of an indispensible tool in modern mathematical research.
