Title: Where are the Eigenvalues of Non-selfadjoint Operators?
Speaker: Michael Demuth, Clausthal University of Technology
Abstract: Let A be a selfadjoint positive operator in a Hilbert space. We consider the discrete spectrum of non-selfadjoint operators of the form B = A + M, where M is a relatively compact operator with respect to A.
The number, the moments and the distribution of discrete eigenvalues of B are estimated. The results are applicable to Schrödinger operators with complex potentials.
