**Title:** Where are the Eigenvalues of Non-selfadjoint Operators?

**Abstract:** Let *A* be a selfadjoint positive operator in a Hilbert space. We consider the discrete spectrum of non-selfadjoint operators of the form *B = A + M*, where *M* is a relatively compact operator with respect to *A*.

The number, the moments and the distribution of discrete eigenvalues of *B* are estimated. The results are applicable to Schrödinger operators with complex potentials.
