Title:Improvement over the Galerkin and the iterated Galerkin methods for nonlinear integral equations

Consider a nonlinear Fredholm integral equation of second kind with a smooth kernel. Among the projection methods, the most popular methods are the Galerkin methods, collocation methods and their iterated versions. In this talk, a modified projection method is proposed and is shown to have a better order of convergence as compared to the classical methods. Numerical results validate the theoretical orders of convergence.
