Title: Monodromy of certain cyclic covers of the projective line.

Abstract: We give a very brief overview of the Deligne Mostow (DM) theory and show that in contrast to the DM situation, the monodromy group for most of the cyclic covers of the projective line is an arithmetic group of a certain unitary group.
