Title: Kinetic Equations - Short Review

Speaker: R. Alexandre, Universit'e d'Evry Val d'Essonne

Abstract: I will present the most important kinetic equations: Boltzmann, Landau, Vlasov and the state of the art concerning the mathematical issues about these equations: existence, regularity, asymptotics, and their links with well known fluid mechanics equations such as Navier and Euler equations. Though there will be a lot of pde, no special knowledge is assumed, and I'll keep this talk at a very general level. Most importantly, I will present several open problems in this field.
