Title: Homotopy groups of Classical groups and Stiefel Varieties
Abstract: The previous meeting was cancelled since many regular participants were away at Trivandrum. So, we continue with the plan for the previous week.
In the last meeting we have discussed Stiefel Varieties and Grassmann varieties and some of their homotopy properties. The discussion of the inclusion induced homomorphism SO(n) --> SO(n+1) in the crucial dimension will be taken up in this meeting.
