Title: An introduction to coding theory with emphasis on Reed-Muller codes
Speaker: Fernando Pinero, IIT Bombay
Abstract: Reed-Muller codes are one of the fundamental classes of codes in coding theory. This class of codes can be interpreted in several different ways. For example as evaluation codes, codes from designs, Low Density Parity Check codes and Tanner codes. In particular, Reed-Muller codes have a simple algebraic description. In this series of talk we'll introduce elementary concepts of coding theory using Reed-Muller codes as the key example throughout. Everyone is welcome to attend.
