Title:Optimal Redundancy Allocations in Systems and Comparison of Component and System Level Redundances

Abstract: In many situations, the performance of a system can be improved by attaching spare (or redundant) components. In this talk, we discuss the problem of optimally allocation of redundant components to a coherent system. A brief survey of the recent results and also some new results on comparison of component and system level redundancies will be presented
