International Conference on Algebraic Geometry and Coding Theory
Mumbai, India, December 2-6, 2013
Mumbai (= Bombay)
is well-connected to many cities around the world by direct flights and to
most cities in India by flights, trains, and roadways.
Please note that most international visitors will require a visa for
India (just as Indian citizens require a visa to visit their country),
and also that December-January tends to be a busy period in terms of travel
to and from India, especially from Europe and North America; thus, it is advisable to book early.
Here are some useful links.
Air India Holidays is a
good option for those planning a touristic visit to other parts of India
before or after the conference.
The official currency is Indian Rupee (currently, 1 US dollar is about 60 Rupees and 1 Euro is about 80 Rupees);
see an online Currency Converter for latest
information). Credit cards are widely accepted, but not everywhere!
It may be advisable to change at bank ATM's or at official exchange bureaus at the airport.
