2 The notes listed here are based on lectures at various conferences/workshops, and these have been typeset and privately circulated. Unless mentioned otherwise, the notes are also written by S. R. Ghorpade. The notes in item 5 were prepared for pre-conference distribution to the participants of the Instructional School on Algebraic Number Theory (Bombay Univ., 1994-95) while those in item 8 were prepared for the B.Tech. course `Mathematics I' at IIT Bombay, with partial support from the Curriculum Development Programme at IIT Bombay.
