Abstract: The talk consists of two parts. In the first part, we shall discuss an uncertainty principle in connection with the harmonic oscillator Schrödinger equation and the well-posedness of inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrödinger equations in Lorentz–modulation spaces. In the second part, we shall discuss patterns in sparse sets from the perspective of harmonic analysis.
